| Clinician Scientist Fellowship Scheme |
| |
| The Health Foundation and Academy of Medical Sciences Clinician Scientist Fellowships are prestigious awards that provide five years of funding, alongside personal and professional development, to talented clinicians who want to make a significant long-term difference to the quality of patient care.
We are looking for translational research proposals in disciplines where there is an identified national shortage of research expertise, particularly in anaesthesia, paediatric disciplines, pathology, psychiatry, radiology and surgery.

five years' funding to cover personal salary costs to enable award holders to pursue academic research alongside clinical practice |

| Who can apply? |
| |
| We are looking for outstanding professionals with the potential to be the best in their field and who are driven to improve practice through advances in clinical research, and to inspire others. |
| Applicants must be: |
| » |
committed to patient-orientated clinical research and able to provide clear evidence that their research will directly benefit patients |
| » |
medically qualified with a PhD or MD in a basic science or clinical/health related subject |
| » |
either in training, seeking training or have recently been awarded consultant status |
| » |
able to provide evidence of their clinical research skills |
| » |
able to provide evidence of their ability to communicate and disseminate the results of their work; to influence and inspire others; and to drive through changes in clinical practice |
| » |
in an environment which will support their professional development. |
