Australian regional and rural hospitals still short of doctors

Australian hospitals located in regional and remote areas particularly in rural Australia are still seeking international doctors to fill non training positions. Each hospital is left with at least two to three unfilled junior doctor positions even after the recruitment campaigns have almost completed their active recruitment in many parts of Australia.
Even though the recent change of rules in visas and work permits make it expensive and hard for hospitals to find overseas doctors the hospital recruitment officers are still actively seeking applications from international doctors who completed their graduation from UK, Ireland, West Indies, Malaysia, India, Singapore and Myanmar.
